World Migratory Bird Day

It's a migration celebration at the Zoo’s Bird House! 

On Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., join staff of the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and other conservation organizations as they welcome back millions of birds from their seasonal migrations.   

This family-friendly event features guided tours of the Bird House aviaries, a bird banding demonstration, Bird Friendly coffee tastings, special keeper demos, and a variety of games and activities highlighting amazing avian adaptations and how you can help make our communities safe and welcoming for birds.
